Description

There are a variety of models around the are of energy systems, sustainability and emission reduction. In order to get a complete picture of an energy system, many different domains such as power generation, buildings or transport have to be incorporated. Tools for modelling different domains can significantly differ from one another: They are based on different assumptions, require different input parameters, operate on different time scales and produce different outputs.
Bringing these tools together therefore takes significant effort. On the other hand, stakeholders and decision makers prefer easy-to-use tools with clearly defined inputs and outputs.

The aim of this project is to tackle this problem by federating models for different domains and incorporate them into a single tool for stakeholders. Eventually, the tool shall be capable of determining low-carbon scenarios for Singapore incorporating different sectors from power generation to transport.
