Hello and welcome to my homepage!
I am Tobias Massier, an electrical engineer working in the field of energy and power systems,
and sustainability topics with experience in project management, team leadership,
software development, energy system modelling, writing of scientific articles and proposals.
Since July 2026, I have been living and working in Auckland, New Zealand, where
I am working as Research Fellow at the
University of Auckland.
I have been involved in many multidisciplinary projects delivering recommendations on transport electrification, integration of renewable energies, utilisation of geothermal power, and carbon emission reduction pathways.
From 2013 to 2026, I worked as Principal Scientist at TUMCREATE, a research organisation in Singapore where I led the Energy and Power Systems Group supervising more than 25 researchers and more than 60 students in total.
Prior to that, I managed a new Master Programme ”Power Engineering“ at the Technical University of Munich where I also received my doctoral degree (PhD) and Diploma degree (M.Sc.) in electrical engineering and information technology from.
